The History of Acceleration
Extreme Sports
“Acceleration, founded to enhance athletes’ power, speed, agility, strength, and confidence, is a scientifically proven program created by exercise physiologist John Frappier in the late 80s. Inspired by Russian Olympic training methods, Frappier developed running treadmills reaching speeds of 28 mph and elevations of 40% grade.

John started training NFL and professional athletes on these machines to test power output, anaerobic endurance, speed improvements, recovery rates, and lactic acid thresholds.
Athletes train in front of mirrors to correct form and undergo rigorous testing for power, speed, endurance, and recovery rates. The program focuses on correcting flaws with trained professionals while developing speed, power, agility, and strength, catering to athletes as young as 7 years old.
state-of-the-art equipment
With state-of-the-art equipment, including incline running treadmills and skating treadmills, our program emphasizes plyometric workouts, agility drills, and strength conditioning. Completing 18-24 workouts yields significant improvements in vertical jump, broad jump, agility, and a 50% reduction in recovery time.
Our speed programs use equipment that our competitors do not have, making Acceleration a unique training facility. Our dedicated staff prioritizes teaching athletes not just “what to do” but the “how and why,” ensuring a comprehensive understanding rather than mere instruction.
